European Roulette is the game you’re moist likely familiar with if you’ve ever played Roulette before, both online and in a land-based casino.
It’s by far the most popular and widespread variation of the game, and millions of players around the world play this game each week, making it one of the most popular games in history!
How To Play
European Roulette is simple – there are a variety of betting options for you to choose from, detailed below.
Even-Money Bets – These bets pay you out at 1/1, and basically give you the chance to double your money. Even-Money bets include Red/Black, Odds/Evens, and High/Low numbers. Every European Roulette table will offer these bets, and they’re some of the most profitable betting options to choose, and the Casino’s edge is fairly low, (around 0.4%.).
Straight-Up Betting – On a European Roulette wheel, there are 37 numbers. Placing a chip on one of these numbers is risky, as there’s a 1 in 37 chance it’ll come in, but the payouts can also be just as rewarding. If you manage to land a number, you’ll be paid out at 35/1. The missing number is where the Casinos get their edge.
Columns and Rows – The columns and row bets are simple – the Roulette wheel is split into three parts, and you simply place a bet on where you think the Roulette ball will land. If you’re right, you’ll be paid out at 2/1, meaning if you were to place a £10 bet, you’d receive £30 back in total.
Section Bets – Not all European Roulette games will offer section bets, as they’re not particularly common, but if you DO want to play, they offer an additional way to play. The Section Bets divide the wheel into 3 parts, consisting of 8, 9, and 12 numbers. Your stake is then split across those numbers, making a singular bet cover as many as 12 numbers.
Neighbour Bets – A neighbour bet is a way to cover your favourite number, while protecting yourself against the Roulette ball dropping one or two numbers away. For instance, if your lucky number is 20, you could place a £5 Neighbour bet on 20, which would place £1 on 20 itself, and £1 on the two numbers either side.

The only question left is what type of bet will YOU place?!
