Blackjack is one of the most popular card games in the world today, and each year millions of players choose to enjoy it both in land-based Casinos and in the online gaming rooms.
Blackjack can be a little confusing at first, so simply follow the simple guide to make sure you’re sticking to the rules and giving yourself the best chance of winning.
How To Play
It’s really simple – you simply place your bet, and the dealer will draw you to cards. Your goal is to make these two cards is close to 21 as possible, without going over. All cards and their face value, with any picture cards being worth 10 points. Ace cards are worth one or 10, depending on which best fits your situation.
After your two cards have been dealt, you have a few options.
The first is to stand – this is where you like your hand and don’t want to take any more cards. For example, you would usually stand any first two cards which add up to 17 or more.
If you don’t feel that you had a particularly good, you can draw another card – you can continue to draw as many cards as you like in order to help you get close to 21 as possible, but if you go over 21 you will bust and the dealer will automatically win.
If your first two cards are of equal number value, you can split them – this requires you to place an additional stake, which is the same amount of your main bet, but it allows you to split the two hands into – when the cars are split you will then be awarded an additional card on each new hand, and play the hands out as normal.
There is also the ability to double down, which is when your first two cards add up to 9, 10, or 11. Basically, your gambling that your third card will be a 10 or an ace, we should put you on a very strong hand likely to be the dealer. To double down you simply need to match your initial stake, and you will be drawn your third card. It’s worth remembering that when you double you only get one card, so if you are to 009 and pull to, you would be stuck on 11, hoping the dealer busts.
